Who am I?
I am first and foremost a human being - spiritually inclined, family man and pet owner. My greatest passion is photography, a passion I've harboured since childhood. I started out with pocket cameras with film cassettes and flash cubes and later switched to SLR cameras with 35 mm film. Since the advent of digital photography in the late 90s, my desire for active photography has increased, along with an interest in videography and film editing. But at the latest since I bought my first digital SLR camera in 2011, I've been living for photography again. Since then, I have continuously improved my skills and broadened my horizons through independent learning and workshops. My favourite thing to do is photograph people.

When you get involved with photography, you are confronted with different angles and perspectives. You suddenly see things that you hadn't noticed before and sometimes you have a completely different perspective than before. As there was already a platform called "Sichtweise", I simply decided to use the Swiss version of the name "sichtwies" (perception).
What is photography?
For me, the term photography encompasses the entire process - from the idea to the realisation to the result. This includes planning a photo shoot, testing different light settings, dealing with the technology, spending time together at photo shoots, exchanging ideas in photo clubs, editing (developing) the photos on the PC through to the final print. All this is much more than "just" taking a quick picture.
What do I work with?
I mainly work with Canon cameras and lenses as well as a compact Sony APS-C camera. I also have a few radio-controlled flashes and a mobile studio flash with various light shapers. When it comes to software, I use Adobe Lightroom and Photoshop. I print up to A3+ at home and love high-quality FineArt papers. When it comes to larger prints or photo albums and other special print products, I rely on SaalDigital. If it can take longer or I simply feel like working at a slower pace, I also like to reach for one of my analogue cameras.
